Jade Chantharasy

Where are you from?
I was born in Paris, moved to Shanghai China when I was 5 and have lived in The Netherlands since 2000.

What do you do?
I’m finishing my last year of high school in Wassenaar.

What are your hobbies?
I love playing hockey and hanging out with friends!

Which historical event, in your lifetime, has had a profound effect on you?
The Tsunami in Southeast Asia affected me the most. One of my close friends escaped the tidal wave with seconds to spare while vacationing in Phuket, Thailand with her family.

Which book has inspired you the most?
The Secret. It made me more aware of all the good things I have and helped me be more positive.

Which person has had the biggest impact on you?
My mother has had the biggest impact on me because she loves me the most and believes in me.

What is your favorite place in The Hague or surroundings?
Het Plein, where there are trendy bars and cafés.

Which 5 words describe you the best?
Funny, joyful, sincere, optimistic and perfectionist.

If you could have a dinner party, which 4 famous people (living or deceased) would you invite?
I’d invite 4 characters from The Gossip Girl series; Chuck Bass, Nate Archibald, Serena van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf. Maybe not very intellectual but I am 18!
