The Mets Tennis Club in Scheveningen will set the stage for the 18th edition of the Siemens Open from Monday, 5 July to Sunday, 11 July.

The tournament with total prize money of € 64,000 aims to put together a field which consists of young talented players who are on their way to becoming the stars of the future combined with the best Dutch players.

No less than eight players from the top 150 will be participating in this year's Siemens Open. Uruguayan Pablo Cuevas leads the ranking list followed by the German Dominik Meffert. Australian Peter Luczak, who is ranked in the top 100, will come to the tournament. Other important players include Gastón Gaudio (Argentinean champion of Roland Garros 2004), Matwé Middelkoop and Thomas Schoorel (the Netherlands), Kristof Vliegen and Steve Darcis (Belgium), and Daniel Koellerer (Austria). This year’s tournament counts 16 different nationalities.

‘Little Wimbledon’
The event will be played on the legendary Mets Tennis Courts, which has been providing the staging ground for international competitions since 1928. The lovely tennis park, often called the ‘little Wimbledon’, is located in a residential neighbourhood just around the corner from the Circustheater and the Scheveningen beach.

Centre court
Centre court will be transformed into one tennis court with VIP boxes and space for more than 3,000 spectators. The complex will also offer hospitality units, outdoor patios, a brasserie and an exclusive restaurant.
