New Year’s concert by Residentie Orkest
The Residentie Orkest will ring in 2012 with a beautiful concert of American classics on Friday, 6 January. Be amazed by this lively musical performance.
Enrique Diemecke will conduct the orchestra in the most spectacular way. He received many great reviews for his performance with the Residentie Orkest two years ago. Traditionally the Residentie Orkest performs Viennese waltzes every other year. But this New Year’s concert will be filled with magnificent compositions from across the Atlantic by Bernstein, Barber, Gershwin and Copland.
The musical programme varies from the beautiful and highly sentimental piece ‘Adagio for Strings’ by Samuel Barber to music that makes you want to stand up and dance like Leonard Bernstein’s ‘Candide Overture’.
