This Halloween, the historic Castle Duivenvoorde will be transformed into a mysterious castle. A special event takes place when Count Van Duister opens the gates of the castle to receive visitors at his Bal Masqué. A walkthrough theatre experience that stimulates all the senses. Visitors enter a world of intrigue and suspense at various locations on the estate.
On 25 October, a spooky theatrical experience will take place at Duivenvoorde - the Halloween Bal Masqué. This special event promises to be a performance full of mystery and suspense.
About the performance
Upon arrival, the entire court is ready to welcome the guests. Everyone is welcomed with one important rule: a mask is mandatory. The Bal Masqué gets off to a frivolous start. There is dancing and laughter in the Marot Hall, in an atmosphere of elegance and splendour. But amid jubilant singing and revelry, dark sounds overshadow the atmosphere..... Disturbing news sounds from the castle's kitchen. The revelry turns into uncertainty and fear with no one allowed to leave the castle!
Visitors wander through the castle and Count of Dark's estate in groups. Meet the stricken court staff including his butler, chef, court jester and stable boy and unravel this Halloween mystery. But.....where did Count of Darkness actually go?
The Bal Masqué at Duivenvoorde Castle is a Halloween experience like no other. An exciting, intriguing adventure that will be talked about for a long time to come.
Performances start at: 1.30pm, 2.30pm, 3.30pm, 4.30pm, 5.30pm and 6.30pm.
