Anyone who thinks of Vienna thinks of Mozart, Johann Strauss or Schubert. In the shadow of these greats are not infrequently literary artists, such as Goethe , Storm and Dehmel, whose poetry led to musical masterpieces.

In Viennese Konditorei atmospheres, Ciconia puts the Viennese literary climate of the fin de siècle centre stage. With beautiful pieces sung by soprano Lenneke Ruiten, who has developed into an internationally sought-after soloist with an impressive career in opera, concert and Lieder. String orchestra Ciconia Consort is an international ensemble of twenty young top musicians conducted by Dick van Gasteren and celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
